JOB SUMMARY:

Assists in all activities in the Registrar's Office related to class registration, class schedule assembly, and academic policy and curriculum implementation and execution.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serves as a point of entry to the Registrar's for all constituencies by managing walk-in students/faculty/staff/others, answering the office telephone, and monitoring the office email account
  • Communicates effectively with students, faculty, and others regarding students academic progress
  • Processes transcript requests
  • Verifies students enrollment to various outside agencies
  • Participates in all activities associated with course registration, grading, monitoring of students progress, and curriculum implementation
  • Serves as point of contact for the Apostille process for students in the graduate TESOL program. Executes and implements the process in a timely manner
  • Helps train students on how to use Empower's degree audit as needed
  • Performs computer data entry associated with the Registrars Office as assigned
  • Executes all College policies and procedures as appropriately approved by the faculty and administration
  • Collaborates with other offices as needed (Admissions, Financial Aid, Student Accounts, etc.)
  • Ensures accurate and confidential maintenance of all student academic records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
  • Provides general academic support to students, faculty, and staff
  • Serve on College committees as assigned
  • Maintains a professional, respectful, and collaborative office and demeanor

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree; experience in college administrative offices or related work preferred
  • Excellent technological skills, especially in a student information system and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to collaborate with various offices and personnel on campus
  • Deliberate organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Ability to prioritize projects
