Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary ESL (English as a Second Language) Teacher to support the academic and language development of English Language Learners (ELLs)!

The ideal candidate will create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that fosters both academic achievement and language proficiency for students in grades K-5.

Position Overview:

• Develop and deliver ESL lessons tailored to meet the needs of students with diverse language backgrounds.
  
• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to enhance students' English speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate language development strategies into the general curriculum.
  
• Conduct ongoing assessments to track student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
  
• Foster a welcoming and supportive classroom environment that celebrates cultural diversity and encourages student participation.
  
• Support students' social-emotional growth by helping them adapt to new cultural and academic environments.
  
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and prepare reports for parents, teachers, and administrators.
  

Requirements

• Bachelor”s degree in Education, TESOL, or a related field (Master”s degree preferred).
  
• Valid Illinois teaching certification with an ESL endorsement.
  
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in an ESL setting.
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  
• Familiarity with language assessment tools and instructional technology is a plus.
