Manhattan University Non-Credit Programs is Seeking a Summer ESL Assistant Coordinator
This position will support the Summer ESL Coordinator from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025. Room and board are not included, and on-campus residency is not required for this role. This position reports to the ESL coordinator.

Program Overview:
- ESL students range in age from 14-20.
- Approximately 20 to 40 ESL instructors will lead weekly classes.
- Over 2,200 students are expected to participate.
Hourly Rate: $30.00
Responsibilities:
- Assist the ESL Coordinator in selecting and communicating with instructors for the program.
- Support the onboarding and training process for incoming instructors.
- Help prepare and distribute weekly work shift schedules.
- Monitor instructor attendance and arrange substitute coverage as needed.
- Coordinate administrative tasks such as classroom reservations, curriculum distribution, and timesheet processing for instructors.
- Print and prepare diplomas and certificates for students at the end of the program.
- Maintain regular communication with ESL instructors, students, and client partners.
- Assist in providing classroom schedules and support to staff working with ESL students.
- Typical work hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with occasional weekends as needed.
- Potential opportunity for renewal each season (June - Aug)
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor”s degree in Education, TESOL, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in an educational or administrative setting, ideally with ESL programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Drive and Learning Management Systems.
- Availability from June 2nd to August 15th, 2025.
- Authorized to work in the US.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in scheduling, timesheet processing, and administrative support.
- Positive, adaptable, and team-oriented demeanor.
