POSITION SUMMARY:World Relief Chicago is looking for an ESL/ESOL Program Coordinator & Instructor to provide program coordination for its English as a Second language (ESL)/English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), career, and employment-readiness classes for adult immigrants and refugees. This role would also involve teaching and instructional support for employment-readiness classes. The majority of hours for this role are allocated towards program coordination. Key responsibilities include facilitating student registrations, standardized assessments and technology support, recording and organizing program data, maintaining program equipment, assisting with grant writing, reporting and program development, providing student referral services and instructional support, and teaching. The role is 38 hours/week but includes benefits. If you are a highly organized and detail-oriented person with experience in teaching English as a Second language (ESL)/English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), this role may be a good fit for you.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
- Bachelor”s degree in TESOL/related field or a BA and significant training in teaching
- Prior experience with related coordination tasks and responsibilities
- At least 2 years of experience in teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)/English as a Second language (ESL).
- Ability to flex hours to work some evenings
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage multiple projects and tasks at the same time
- Strong technology and digital literacy skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and cross-cultural skills
- Self-starter with strong initiative and follow-through
- Skilled in creating and teaching level-appropriate lessons for multi-level classrooms
- Ability to create a safe and engaging classroom community
- Flexible and collaborative
